Our Blended Canadian Red Cross Standard (Intermediate) First Aid & CPR / AED Level C training course in Ottawa combines the two courses into one comprehensive training course. Participants learn how to respond to emergencies at work and in the community while developing high-performance CPR, team-based resuscitation, assisted ventilation, and rapid defibrillation skills.

The Standard (Intermediate) First Aid & CPR / AED Level C + BLS course meets current Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) workplace first aid training requirements in Ontario. Intermediate First Aid is the updated name for Standard First Aid under Ontario's First Aid Program and remains equivalent to Standard First Aid under Regulation 1101. The BLS component provides additional professional-level resuscitation training intended primarily for healthcare providers and professional responders.

The combined Blended Intermediate / Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support course takes approximately 4-6 hours of online knowledge training and 9 hours of in-class training, excluding scheduled breaks. Participants must complete the required online prerequisites and attend the entire course.

Participants who attend the full course, successfully demonstrate all required skills, and achieve the required mark on the knowledge evaluations will receive 2 certificates:
Canadian Red Cross Standard / Intermediate First Aid & CPR / AED Level C certificate valid for three years, and
Basic Life Support (BLS - CPR HCP) certificate valid for one year.
