Recertification course in Ottawa offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
This course meets current Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) workplace first aid training requirements for Intermediate First Aid in Ontario. Intermediate First Aid is the updated name for Standard First Aid under Ontario's First Aid Program.
Important: This is a recertification course. Participants must hold a current, unexpired certificate that is eligible for recertification. In Ontario, an Intermediate First Aid certificate may be recertified once before the full course must be completed again.

Prerequisites
Participants must provide proof of a current, unexpired Intermediate / Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C certificate that is eligible for recertification. The recertification course must be completed on or before the certificate expiry date. If your certificate has expired or is no longer eligible for recertification, please register for our blended Intermediate / Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C course, which includes one day of in-person training after completion of the required online component.
Course Duration
The Intermediate / Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C recertification course includes approximately 7 hours of in-class training, excluding scheduled breaks. Participants must attend and participate in the entire course.
Certificate
Participants who provide proof of a current, unexpired certification, attend the full course, and successfully demonstrate all required skills will receive a Canadian Red Cross Standard / Intermediate First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED certificate valid for three years.
