Our Basic Life Support Provider Renewal course in Ottawa offers practical, hands-on training for anyone who needs to renew / recertify their BLS, CPR, and emergency response skills. Led by a Heart & Stroke instructor, the course combines instruction, videos, realistic practice, and coaching. You will have plenty of time to practise your skills, ask questions, and receive feedback before completing the final evaluation. The course will review both single- and multi-rescuer CPR, with a focus on high-quality care, clear communication, and working effectively as a team.
The BLS Renewal course assumes comprehensive awareness, knowledge, and skill proficiency in Heart & Stroke BLS concepts. This fast-paced course is for students who are confident in their BLS skills, use their skills regularly, require limited practice and who already possess a valid Heart & Stroke BLS certificate to renew their credentials for another year.

Course Duration
Basic Life Support Renewal (BLS - CPR HCP) training will take around 2 hours.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the training, all participants will receive a Basic Life Support (BLS - CPR HCP) Provider recertification valid for 1 year.
CME / CPD Credits
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada:
Eligible for two (2) credits per hour under Section 2 of the MOC Program as “Traineeships”.
