Our Basic Life Support Provider course in Ottawa offers practical, hands-on training for anyone who needs strong CPR and emergency response skills. Led by a Heart & Stroke instructor, the course combines instruction, videos, realistic practice, and coaching. You will have plenty of time to practise your skills, ask questions, and receive feedback before completing the final evaluation. The course covers both single- and multi-rescuer CPR, with a focus on high-quality care, clear communication, and working effectively as a team.
BLS certification is often required for healthcare jobs, clinical placements, and advanced resuscitation courses. This course is a good fit for healthcare professionals, first responders, healthcare students, and anyone who is new to BLS or does not regularly use these skills.

Course Duration
Basic Life Support (BLS - CPR HCP) training will take ~4 hours of training.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the training, all participants will receive a Basic Life Support (BLS - CPR HCP) Provider certificate valid for 1 year.
CME / CPD Credits
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada:
Eligible for two (2) credits per hour under Section 2 of the MOC Program as “Traineeships”.
